The office

Where historic meets authentic.

Madison Ave. Collective is a shared office and studio space located on the corner of Fifth and Madison in downtown Corvallis, 72 steps west of Starbucks.

Built in 1923 by the Corl family (who still own the property today), the space was for several decades home to a nice little bookstore. Then in the summer of 2008 the MAC moved in. And naturally, being the building’s third-ever tenant, a little remodeling was in order. Recycled and reclaimed materials found online give the place a retro-industrial vibe. And the graffiti artist? We found him on Craigslist, too.

Today, 13 creative and tech professionals call the MAC home for their respective small businesses. We work both independently and collaboratively, valuing new opportunities to serve our clients better together. We’re quite complementary, thank you.

While we don’t “rent” space, we do offer monthly memberships to individuals who play by the rules. New prospects go through a grueling application process where they’re peppered with questions like, “How do you feel about the color brown?” and, “Venti or Grande?” Nice people who do good work are encouraged to apply.

Oh, and occasionally we host informational and creative workshops as well as other networking events at the office. The best way to stay in the know is to join our mailing list (look to the right) or subscribe to our blog.
