OSU Open Campus is an education partnership at Oregon State University, providing access to local learning opportunities to diverse communities throughout Oregon. When they needed to showcase a complex matrix of offerings on one communication tool, they turned to the MAC.

Challenge

Our client works across a complex fabric of communities, statewide: education coordinators, community colleges, regional economic development groups, K-12 schools, businesses and local governments. Without an online platform to promote opportunities for underserved individuals and families around the state, their mission — making learning accessible, anywhere — would be hard to achieve.

Goal

Our client needed a robust website to showcase the vibrancy of its communities, coordinators, and programs to people inside and outside of the project. They also needed to give internal stakeholders control over different areas of the website’s content.

Execution

The MAC created a clean, intuitive website that promotes the project, makes it easy for users to navigate to their community, and gives each community space to share their work. We drafted the information architecture, designed the UX/UI, handled the front- and back-end development, and created the illustrated content.

Result

With a powerful hub of information to help each community in their network shine, our client was empowered to provide program coordinators, volunteers, participants, and local leaders with information and inspiration to achieve their mission, and make learning more accessible for underserved or place-bound Oregonians.
